I like to abbreviate terms every now and then, especially the lines of figures. Sometimes I use the terms I see on the net, sometimes I pull stuff out of my ass (FIGURATIVELY SPEAKING, of course), so I decided to put a list here, just in case you are wondering…

25AC: 25th Anniversary Collection of Gi Joe. I use this term for all the new 3 3/4 i Joe figures made without an O-Ring.
4HM: The Four Horsemen. Those talented guys working on DC Universe Classics right now.
AFP: Action Figures Philippines, a figure collector’s forum.
BAF: Build-a-Figure, The toybiz and hasbro term for figures that are made up of many parts spread across an action figure wave.
Con: Convention
CNC: Collect-and-Connect, Mattel’s term for BAF. (See BAF)
DCD: DC Direct.
DCSH: DC Super Heroes.
DCUC or DCU: DC Universe Classics.
EMC: Ed McGuiness
GL: Green Lantern
Figgy: My term for action figures. I wrote an Urban Dictionary Entry for it, so check it out.
FF or F4: Fantastic Four. If I’m talking about American Super Heroes. Other wise…
FF: Final Fantasy, If I’m talking about a Japanese or Role Playing Game- related merchandise
Gasha: Gashapon. Some times I use this term even on non-Gashapon Items. Stupid me.
HML: Hasbro’s Marvel Legends.
IM: Iron Man
Iron Man Syndrome: The tendency to collect different variants of the same character, like Iron Man and all his armors, for example. Again, check out my Urban Dictionary entry for it. (Shameless plug!)
LCBH: Legendary Comic Book Heroes.
LOC: Loose on Card, a figure that was taken out of the package and put back in again- like to remove a BAF or stuff.
MCToys: McFarlane Toys
MOC: Mint on Card, a figure in its unopened package.
ML: Marvel Legends. I usually use this term to talk about ML figures made by Toy Biz
NPA: No Point Articulation! Of Course!
SMC: Spider-Man Classics. I use this term to cover all the Spider-Man toys made in 6-inch form that are not-movie related.
ToyCon: Toy Convention
TPB: Trade Paperback Comics
WTF: What the Funk? See, we are wholesome.
XMC: X Men Classics. I use this term to cover all the X-Men toys made in 6-inch form that are not-movie related.
